THE GIFT OF TIME
TEXT: Eccl. 3:1-11
I have often heard people say “Time is not our friend” but I beg to differ because our scripture says “to everything there is a season and a time to every purpose” if there is time to every purpose then there is a certainty that some things have been assigned to happen for our own good. And because there is a set time for you to find favour then time is your friend. It is so committed to bring to pass your moment of glory, but you too must be committed to keep that appointment with time. This is why the word of God says “time and chance happens to them all”. So what you do with the gift of time will determine whether you will celebrate or weep. If you know how to put to use time as designed by the creator, you will come to see that He makes all things beautiful in its time (See Eccl 3:11). When it is your time and you are positioned for it, He will make all things beautiful and people will say it is your time. Everyone has his time but not everyone knows his time. The B part of verse 11 says God has planted this divine agenda in our hearts but many are unable to understand it because they are far from their creator. It is only the Lord who can help you understand purpose and time. Without divine assistance you will waste precious time chasing shadows. Time is a gift; do not let it pass you by. Maximize the moment and your glory will come to full manifestation. Daily Devotional by Rev.Igho.Y; the Glorious Fountain Ministries.

WHEN YOUR HEART CRYS OUT FOR GOD
TEXT: Psalm 63:1-9
“The rest of
our lives unto eternity will never be enough to
show Him how
much we love Him. So don’t let one more hour
go by without
expressing your love to Him. Let your worship
rise to Him as
a sweet fragrance of love, for He is worthy of our
worship.”
FFPW pg. 128.
CONTEMPLATION
Often than not we
worship by just going through the routine. We say words we are not fully
committed to. When most of us pray over our meal it is just another religious
obligation and sometimes we cannot even remember what we said. The kind of
prayer that changes circumstances and situations are often very sincere,
heartfelt, and soul stirring. They may not have all the flowery words, heavy
vocabulary and poetic rhymes but they produce the desired result.
“If the
shedding of tears
does truly
convey the deep-seated feelings of our heart, then
there will be
times when the expression of our tears should
count as
worship. More often than not, tears are indicative of
an emotional
relationship between one person and another.” FFPW pg.129
PRACTICAL ISSUES
It is possible for
someone to seat in a worship experience without saying a word but the tear drop
from his eyes will reveal that so much is happening on the inside much more
than words could express. So, do not be quick to judge.
The man who has often felt the precious, loving
and gentile embrace of the Lord is expected to be more tender and sensitive
from the heart. They are different from others. Daily devotional by Rev. Igho. Y; the Glorious Fountain Ministries.

YOUR FUTURE IS BLESSED.
TEXT: Col 1:26-27.
The present economic downturn all over the world seems to
make the future of many bleak with little or no hope in sight. It is so bad
that most of the Western nations that were once considered the Promised Land
are now dealing with hash economic realities. Government and systems are
failing and the world is confused and uncertain about the future, but the word
we read today assures us that there is hope. This hope is only in Christ, for
when we have Christ in us there is the hope of glory. If you take Christ out of
the way there is no hope. The Western world took Christ out of their society
and government and so they took hope for a glorious future out of their way. If
you want to have the hope of glory then make sure that Christ is in you and you
in Him. If you have not made Jesus the Lord of your life you do not have the
hope of glory. If there is no room for Jesus in your business there is no hope
of glory. If He is not allowed to be a prominent part of your job there is no
assurance of glory. If He is not in your vision and pursuit, there is no hope
of glory. When you let Him be your glory He will also become the lifter up of
your head and when others are saying times are hard you will be saying the Lord
is good. If you will bless the Lord with your life your future will be blessed.
The hymn writer says “because He lives, I can face tomorrow”. Jesus is the only
guarantee for the future, hold on to Him and your future will be blessed. Daily Devotional by Rev.Igho L.Y; the Glorious Fountain Ministries.

GRATITUDE (PART 5).
TEXT: PSALM 78:40-43, 53-56.
Most of the time, it can be so easy to see how ungrateful we
are by just looking at the focus of our prayers and religious commitments. Most
of ours prayer are more of the give me, I want, I need, and the likes. It is
only a display of our ingratitude and spiritual shallowness when we pray and
say “If you do not do it I will not serve you”. We say that as if we are doing
God a great favor by serving Him. If you know the price people pay for serving
idols and all kinds of things, you will appreciate the price our Lord Jesus
paid for us to be able to serve God. We are not even worthy to serve Him but He
by His sacrificial death on the cross made us worthy.
When our worship and
passion are tied to the provision of our needs, then it is obvious that we have
not known Him (Phil. 3:10). The reason why the worship time of adoration and
intimacy suffers little patronage and that of prayer request enjoys a great
participation is because we are so ungrateful. Miracles, signs and wonders by
themselves will not help anyone deepen their walk with God, if it does, then
the children of Israel, who Moses led out of Egypt would have been the most
spiritual individuals in all of history. Your ability to express gratitude to
God when it seems nothing much is happening is a sign of the depth of your walk
with Him. People who are like this often end up with unusual blessings. Be
grateful. Daily Devotional by Rev.Igho L.Y; the Glorious Fountain Ministries.

THE JUDAS SPIRIT (PART 2).
TEXT: Matthew 26:7-16.
The name Judas, which is another way of writing Judah, seems
to be totally different from the latter. A name which is interpreted as
“Praise” seemed to have a different meaning after one of Jesus’ disciples by
his personality gave it a terrible stigma.
Sometimes we allow our actions and desires betray our original intent,
thereby making us unpopular.
The man Judas was not
necessarily evil but in his ambition to get things done, he tried to impose his
agenda in the life of the one he ought to take instructions from. Motivated by
his ambitions, he subtly tried to manipulate things to play out according to
his own script; he thought selling Jesus would force Him to prove that he is
the messiah. Judas’ idea of the messiah was that of a political leader who
would deliver the children of Israel out of the hand of the Roman government
(Matt 27:3). His expectation was that when his master rose to power he too
would become very important and be given a sensitive position, but he was so
disappointed afterwards that he did not see any need to continue living. Those
walking in the spirit of Judas have a different reason for following their
leader. They have a hard time expressing their true allegiance to their leader.
Somebody once said “if you read through the Bible you will find out that Judas
never called Jesus “Lord”, he called him “master” meaning “teacher.” In other
words, the spirit of Judas is one that refuses to acknowledge the true destiny
of his leader because it has its own aspiration. The name Judas means praise
but the praise from this character we are talking about is only a lip service
to attract some favour they seek. May God deliver us from the spirit of Judas.
Amen. Daily Devotional by Rev. Igho L.Y; the Glorious Fountain Ministries.

necessarily evil but in his ambition to get things done, he tried to impose his
agenda in the life of the one he ought to take instructions from.

RELEASING THE RIVER OF GOD’S GLORY (PART 2)
TEXT: Psalm 46:1-5
The great revivals and
moves of God are not limited to the pages of the scriptures as we are the
living epistles of God in our generation. Some people may never open the pages
of the scriptures or come to church to meditate on the word of God but they
cannot help but relate with us one way or the other and that is where the Lord
depends on us to let the world see His glory.
CONTEMPLATION
“Heaven knows we need a wave of God’s revival
to restore
the church back
to the place of passionate worship, and the
time is now.
If the glory of
the latter will be greater than that of the
former, then
there must be something more than what we
have ever seen or heard.”
FFPW pg.164.
The glory of the
former house was upon the temple of Solomon but the glory of the latter house
is upon the individual that has become the temple of God indwelling us by the
Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16). When the people of God come to acknowledge
this then there will come an unusual move of God of great proportion. Gradually
the understanding is spreading and there is this shift in the church of God
that is giving birth to strange ministries that need no formal registration
before they begin to affect a great multitude. The river of glory is flowing
and the days of glory are here.
PRACTICAL ISSUES
That which only
motivates men to seek their own materialistic gain is not qualified to be
called revival. If the world can produce the same result it is not the revival
we speak of. There is much more to it.
The prophet Elijah
stood alone against the 450 prophets of Baal (1 kings 18:22) and at the end of
the day the nation was restored back to God because when the people saw fire
fall from heaven they fell down and worshiped saying “the Lord, He is God; the
Lord He is God ” (1 Kings 18:39). When people encounter the glory they worship. Daily Devotional by Rev. Igho L. Y; the Glorious Fountain Ministries.

YOU WILL MAKE IT.
TEXT: Eccl 9:11.
The race of life is not run with physical strength but divine
grace. Many people have tried to rise to prominence only to find out that there
is more to their pursuit than they anticipated. Life seems to haul all kinds of
test from every direction when some are not looking. Some have concluded that
life is not fair because when they considered their predicament, they could not
tell why they have to fight so much battles and why others are having an easy
ride. Like Job, they wish they can find the creator and get answers to their
unanswered questions. But if they can
only look carefully, paying attention to details they will come see that the
answers have always been there. The preacher in our scriptural passage of today
calls our attention to the fact that “the race is not to the swift nor the
battle to the strong”. If you go by carnal judgment you will miss it. He said
“but time and chance happens to them all” which is an indication that everybody
seems to have equal opportunity but not everyone is positioned and sensitive
enough to recognize it. This is where a child of God who continually
fellowships with the Holy Spirit has a strong advantage over others. Jesus gave
us the Holy Spirit to counsel and guide us in the issues of life and as we
follow his leading we can never be stranded in life. Follow the instructions of
the Lord and you will make it. Daily Devotional by Rev. Igho L.Y; the Glorious Fountain Ministries.

RELEASING THE RIVER OF GOD’S GLORY (PART 1)
Psalm 46:1-5
It is impossible to gain the attention of the world without an extraordinary manifestation that cannot be easily explained or reproduced. Those who walk in the glory realm have become channels for the release of the flow of the river of God.
CONTEMPLATION
Sometimes we fail to
realize that our hunger and expectation to see the move of God was actually
placed there by God (See Philippians 2:13). After waiting for a while and
nothing seems to have happened, we become discouraged and we settle for a
normal life. The truth is that the vision of God is for an appointed time far
from our calculation. But if we will be patient and wait for it we will see it
fulfilled (See Habakkuk 2:2). It is one level to have the glory of God released
on you, it is another level to have it flowing through you to others and this
is a great responsibility. We have often limited the move of God to the four
walls of the church when in actual reality God wants to reveal His glory as we
interact with people at work, on the street, on the bus and wherever we go.
When we are in a continuous fellowship with the Spirit, the manifestation of
the word of knowledge, prophecy, gift of faith, healing and other
manifestations of the Spirit will not be limited to special religious meetings.
It becomes part of our everyday living and this is what it means to be full of
the Holy Spirit (See Acts 6:3).
PRACTICAL ISSUES
Make practical efforts
to disabuse your mind from the erroneous idea that the manifestation of the
personality and gifts of the Spirit is meant to be at some great church
services, it is a delusion of the enemy.
You are not only a
seed of Abraham but also a vessel full of the Holy Ghost and power; through you
the Father desires to show forth His glory. Let someone see His glory today. Daily Devotional 2013 by Rev.Igho.L.Y; The Glorious Fountain Ministries.

YOU ARE NOT ORDINARY.
TEXT: 1 Peter 2:9-10
There are people with extraordinary testimonies which make
them stand out. Not just anything can happen with such people because events
around them are controlled. This is so because they carry the glory of God.
According to our passage for today, because they are a royal priesthood their
petitions to God receive priority attention. As a holy nation they have divine
immunity wherever they go. As a peculiar people others cannot mess around them,
and because they are a chosen generation, they enjoy VIP treatment. Their divine
identity gives them an edge over others in the issues of life. For a child of
God reading this devotional, God will make it very obvious that Angels are
attending to you. According to His word in Psalm 91, certainly, a thousand
shall fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand but they will not
come near you. Divine protection is your portion. Whoever stands against you
shall fall for your sake. God is your help, therefore all evil scheming against
your life have already failed. You will continually be a surprise and a wonder
to your generation because the awesome God is your Father. This is the day the
Lord who is your Father has made, therefore it will favour you so you can
rejoice and be glad in it. Step out as bold as a lion because your God is with
you and you are not ordinary. Daily Devotional 2013 by Rev. Igho. L.Y; The Glorious Fountain Ministries.
