 DECEMBER 13TH.

 

TEXT: Psalm 72:19; Proverbs18:10; 22:1; John1:12, Acts 4:12; Philippians 2:9, 10

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulders; and his name shall be called wonderful, counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting father, the prince of peace. (Isaiah 9:6KJV)

 

More than 2,500 years ago, the prophet Isaiah told of one who would be the hope of mankind, the long awaited messiah who would establish an eternal kingdom based on justice and righteousness. Isaiah’s important pronouncement told that this one would be a God-man: a child born- His humanity; a son given- His deity. The quintuplet of names ascribed to this one gives further insight into His character and ministry:

            . WONDERFUL-He would be wonderful in what He would accomplish for the fallen human race.

            . COUNSELOR-He would be our guide through life, and our advocate before the heavenly Father.

            . THE MIGHTY GOD-He would be the God before whom every knee shall one day bow.

            . THE EVERLASTING FATHER-He would be the God of eternity.

            . THE PRINCE OF PEACE-He would be the one who would ultimately bring a true tranquility among all nations.

            Audery Mieir has been widely known for several decades as the composer and author of many fine gospel songs and choruses. "His name is Wonderful" written in 1959, is one of her finest. She tells in her biography how the inspiration for this song occurred while she watched the annual Christmas program given at her Bethel Union Church suddenly exclaimed -"His Name Is Wonderful". Audrey Mieir tells that she quickly grabbed her Bible, searched the concordance for names given to Jesus in the scriptures, and soon composed this song, which has since been sung around the world:

            His name is Wonderful, His name is Wonderful, His name is Wonderful, Jesus , my Lord; He is the mighty king, master of ev'rything; His name is Wonderful, Jesus my Lord; He's the great shepherd, the rock of all ages, Almighty God is He; bow down before Him, love and adore Him; His name is wonderful, Jesus my Lord. THE TURN OF TIMES AND SEASONS (PART 2).

DECEMBER 12^TH

TEXT: Ecclesiastes 9:11King James Version (KJV)

¹¹ I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

There are dimensions of glory some of us are about to walk in within three months from now, but it is going to come with a lot of chastity and a lot of dying to self. Some of us have walked away from what God wants us to do, but as you relocate back and stay in your place of service to Him, His glory will be restored to you like never before. There is a shifting and turning around for a user of this devotional. You may have gone in pursuit of vain glory, but as you retrace your steps and get back to what God called you, doing with all your heart what He asked you to do, there will be dimensions of glory He will lift you into.

Things that you were not able to accomplish in the last three years, you will accomplish in three months from the month of June, for the hand and presence of God will cause the lines to fall for you in pleasant places. For somebody who had a decision that was taken against his favor, and it now looks impossible for that decision to be changed, God Almighty will cause there to be a shaking and a turning, so that it will work in your favor. As you trust in the Lord and walk in His ways, the dominion of witchcraft will wither from your life. You will see a marked difference from this moment forth.

DECEMBER 11^TH

¹¹ I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

 

Often than not, many people are ignorant about the change of times and seasons. God is always on the move, but each time, we fail to realize the significance of the season. Until you are willing to go surrender your all to him, there will be too much distractions.
Beloved this is the time for you to let go of everything that will hold you back, because there will be great danger in delay. "Lay your life before Him today, tell Him how much you need Him.

In the story of the virgins, we have so much to learn. There were ten virgins but only five were wise, the other five were foolish because they went on a very serious assignment without extra oil.
The Lord wants you to go the extra mile, there are certain things that you need to do to settle what will become of your destiny in a matter of weeks. This is the time to make up your mind, do not waste any time. 

The ten virgins were waiting, but not all ten made it. When the Lord showed up, five were not ready to follow Him, they had no oil for their lamps. If you do not have enough oil for your lamp, you will not be able to follow where He is leading, for God is a God that hideth Himself. It takes revelation (oil) to know where the Lord is leading you (Isaiah 45:15).

It is only those who go the extra mile that will be able to accomplish the extraordinary.
Until you have positioned yourself to go the extra mile, you do not qualify, but once you are able to, things will turn around in your favor. Get ready to go the extra mile. 

 

 

ATTENTIVE TO DIVINE GUIDANCE (PART 8)

 DECEMBER 10^TH.

TEXT: Ecclesiastes 3:11King James Version (KJV)

¹¹ He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

During one of our Fasting and Prayer sessions in Glorious Fountain, I sensed the move of the Lord to make the following declarations, which spoke to lives and destinies. Often than not, our God does speak to us again and again, but not all are sensitive enough to take serious such declarations by taking note of what the Lord has to say. Sometimes this is simply because many get too familiar with the vessel through which the Lord speaks. Many of the time, this is because some refuse to recognize and honor the speaker in their hearts. When your mouth is saying amen to any declaration, but you lack respect for God's servant, you only succeed in terminating your own blessing. If you truly desire real lifting, then fix your eyes on Jesus.
Now, here are some of the declarations:

"Those situations that have been harassing you for long are about to change. I sense that between now and November 24th there is coming an unusual lifting and transformation, for this is your season and your time for glory.

We are about to take off into a higher dimension. You are about to walk into some strange opportunities, and nothing will be able to cut you off your moment of blessing, because God has said He will bring it to pass."

MEET OUR GUEST FOR THE ENCOUNTER 15- BUCHI ATUONWU

BUCHI ATUONWU is a Gospel Reggae Legend.
Born in Kaduna to parents of Oboro, Umuahia in Abia state, He lived in Lagos most of His life.
Buchi actually started out as a resident Disc Jockey (DJ) at the then popular floating Buka Club in Marina with friend, Raskimono who was also playing the same trade. For years he was at it, then he met Chris Oyakhilome of Believers Love World a.k.a Christ Embassy who later brought him to Christ in 1992. From there on, there was no looking back for him.
It took another seven years before he released his first album in 1991, and when he did, it became an instant hit, winning an award in the first few months. The last one was released not too long ago. It is called The Sound of Life. The first was a huge success even though it was not an instant market success. It took about two years before Premier Music signed it up. In 2002, He released So Beautiful. This song had 'It is well' In 2005, 'What a Life' was released and it had songs like Nmama. It was a success too.

Buchi will be ministering for the first time at THE ENCOUNTER 15.

ATTENTIVE TO DIVINE GUIDANCE (PART 7)

DECEMBER 9^TH.
TEXT: Genesis 26:1-5, 12-14King James Version (KJV)

26 And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.

² And the Lord appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:
³ Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;
⁴ And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;
⁵ Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

¹² Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him.
¹³ And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:
¹⁴ For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.

It is true that a supernatural wealth transfer is coming, like we just read in our text, but this truly belongs to those who have made the kingdom of God their priority.
It is true that the Scripture has said that the wealth of the wicked is laid up for the righteous, but the righteous will have to get to where God can trust him to give it to him, or else the wicked will still hold it in trust. For this is not going to happen to just any Christian. The word of God tells us that "the heir as long as he is a child does not differ from the slave until he comes of age. This means until you become spiritually mature, God cannot give you your blessings. 

For some of you to become eligible for this blessing, God will shake you out of your comfort zone just like the mother eagle will destroy the nest to teach the young eaglet how to fly. By letting it fall from a very great height, she teaches her own to develop the strength to soar on high.

To prepare you for that assignment, God will take you to heights that you do not even know how to navigate your way through and as you depend on him for direction you become attentive to divine guidance.
At that moment when you are wondering, where is God? That's when you become so sensitive. But you will soon discover that He is with you, and will then show up like the mother eagle will swoop in to save the eaglet from hitting the ground.

Beloved, open your heart to God, he is trying to teach you to stretch out your wings so you can soar on eagle's wings. 

ATTENTIVE TO DIVINE GUIDANCE (PART 6)

DECEMBER  8^TH


TEXT: Genesis 26:1-5, 12-14 King James Version (KJV)

There is a lifting coming which nothing can stop. God will make room for your lifting in a time when everyone would have concluded that there is no way or room for lifting. In that time when it is generally agreed and it is obvious to all that things are hard that is when God is truly glorified when you get blessed. This is often possible when we are attentive to God like Isaac according to our test.
It takes divine guidance to prosper in a time when businesses are closing down.

By divine guidance, if your lifting is in a business people are running away from, God will make room for you to go into it so that what He has proposed will come to pass.
God will begin to give you ideas and cause you to see things that others cannot. This was how Isaac had an edge over others, he was attentive to divine guidance.

You can make money from where others cannot see anything. But this is only possible with those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High. That is the access to divine guidance. Go after God with a sincere and diligent heart and the impossible will become possible.
