BREATHING LIFE TO DREAMS AND VISIONS (PART 4)

¹⁴ For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.

¹⁵ In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;

¹⁶ Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,

¹⁷ That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.

¹⁸ He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.

²³ If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness:

²⁴ Then he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.

When men with divine authority speak, something massive happens. Only the wise will submit themselves to such vessels of honour to breathe life into their destiny.

There are certain dreams that as soon as their interpretations are given, decrees are enacted in the realm of the spirit. Joseph did not only interpret dreams, he triggered something in the realm of the spirit when he opened his mouth to give interpretation. He was not just an ordinary man, he was a prince in the realm of the spirit, so when he spoke things were activated. The truth is that, when the butler had his dream, it was a breakthrough for him, but it was connected to the lifting of Joseph who was destined to save the whole world.  This became obvious when Pharaoh had a dream that nobody could interpret, that was when the butler remembered Joseph. The butler realized, and said he had done wrong, and even told Pharaoh about it, but the truth is that until it was time for Joseph’s destiny to manifest, he did not remember Joseph. Joseph later stood before Pharaoh and interpreted his dream, if he had come out before this time, he would have ended up far from his destiny. In similar way, if your dream seems to be delaying even when you are doing all you can to live right, don’t give up, just wait, for God is in control. 

When the Butler got out of prison, he totally forgot about Joseph and was serving Pharaoh. If you thought you have been forgotten, know that you are only waiting for the appointed time of heaven. Encourage yourself even with the testimonies of others, because that is an indication that yours will certainly come. Your appointed time is certain, just wait on the Lord, and you will certainly testify. Man may forget and even intentionally ignore you, but when your appointed time comes, they will realize their wrong and look for ways to compensate you. God is in the business of breathing life to destinies. Trust in God and you will see His glory manifest in your life. Shalom!

If you do not want to end up in the trap of the enemy, then you must be wise to seek divine counsel from the right source. Sometimes, we may not be sensitive enough to accurately interpret our dreams by ourselves. This is where wisdom demands that we share with somebody who has a measure of grace more than we do. We must not allow spiritual arrogance cause us to suffer unnecessary defeat or premature death. From our text in Job 33:23-24, you fill find that God has blessed us with some persons who He has given the divine insight to interpret dreams and visions. According to this passage, such persons are very rear. They are one in a thousand. This tells us that not everyone has been blessed to breathe life to your dreams and destiny. By the time you finish talking with such individuals, suddenly your eyes are opened and you are able to see clearly to know what to do. In the kingdom of Babylon, Daniel was outstanding. In the land of Egypt, no one could match Joseph in the interpretation of dreams and visions. These two were so accurate in their interpretations that the kings of the various kingdoms that came in contact with them could hardly do anything without their wisdom. For anyone called to accomplish something significant in his time, whether in politics or other positions of leadership, there is a Daniel or a Joseph not far off. When such persons ignore them, they suffer, but when they take time to listen to the counsel of God through them, things work out for their good. Who is speaking over your life? What is your relationship with them? Are you in touch with them? Don’t become too big to submit to divine authority, for the grace God has released in the life of another man, except you acknowledge that grace, you may end up frustrating your own destiny. Be wise.

²¹ Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Our God is so loving and caring, that is why He takes out time to communicate to our spirit His divine purpose for our lives through visions and dreams, but not many of us are careful enough to see that our lives are according to His divine agenda. Your life is so important to God, hence He does not only give us dreams and visions, He also prepares a vessel to give us the interpretation, if we are unable to get the interpretation ourselves.

When you have a dream, let a true servant of God release a prophetic word from God over your life, either to cancel evil agendas or decree a word to activate the release or speedy manifestation of your blessings. Without a word that is anointed and empowered to breathe life to your destiny, that dream of glorious blessings will just remain locked up in the dream world.

That is why you do not ask just anybody to give you interpretations of your dreams, you could end up in trouble. It is important that each one of us are equipped with the word of God to at least have an idea of what the will of God is. The degree of the word of God that you have, will determine the degree of understanding and sensitivity that you run with. The word of God will give you good knowledge and awareness of who you are in Christ. It will help you understand what to say amen to or reject from your life immediately you hear any declaration. When you dream a dream that is not in line with the word of God, you can deprogram whatever evil the enemy intends to release on your life by praying the word of God to counter it in Jesus name. Grow your walk with God and position yourself for God to breathe life to your destiny. 

HYMN- WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS

 JAN 17^TH.

TEXT: PSALM 6:9; MARK 11:24; JOHN 15:13-16; 1 John 5:14, 15.

Memory Verse: A man that hath friends must show himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24 KJV)

A true fiend loves and accepts us just as we are, stay close to us in good or in bad, and is always ready to help in time of need. Because the author of this hymn text found just such a friend in his Lord, he decided to spend his entire life showing real friendship to others.

Joseph Scriven had wealth, education, a devoted family, and a pleasant life in his native Ireland. Then unexpected tragedy entered. On the night before Scriven’s scheduled wedding, his fiancée drowned. In his deep sorrow, Joseph realized that he could find the solace and support he needed only in his dearest friend, Jesus.

Soon after this tragedy, Scriven dramatically changed his lifestyle. He left Ireland for Port Hope, Canada, determined to devote all of his extra time in being a friend and helper to others. He often gave always his clothing and possessions to those in need, and he worked – without pay – for anyone who needed him. Scriven became known as “the good Samaritan of Port Hope.”

When Scriven’s mother became ill in Ireland, he wrote to confronting letter to her, enclosing the words of his newly written poem with the prayer that these brief lines world remind her of a never-failing heavenly friend. Sometime later, when Joseph Scriven himself was ill, a friend who came to call on him happened to see a copy of these words scribbled on scratch paper near his bed. The friend read the lines with interest and asked, “who wrote those beautiful words?”

What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and grief’s to bear! What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.

Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged – take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a fiend so faithful who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness – take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care? Precious savior, still our refuge – take it to the Lord in prayer. Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer; in His arms He’ll take and shield thee – Thou wilt find a solace there.

Each of us have been wired by God to have one means of divine communication or the other with Him. It is amazing that the Almighty God does try to get across to us one way or the other, but not everyone is sensitive enough to perceive it. By virtue of dreams and visions He intends to guide us into His will, but not many even care to take note. To many, it is just a dream, and that is how the enemy has succeeded in manipulating their destinies. A careful study of our passage will reveal to you that God does speak to us often through dreams. Sometimes, this dream could be an experience we had as we slept, but at some other times it is a strong impression and desire in our hearts to accomplish something. When most people receive such dreams, they often don’t know how to go about it. Some will turn to their traditional belief or superstition as the try to get the interpretation, and others will look for some medium to conjure for them, but only few are sensitive to find out the will of God the right way.

From our text for today, it became obvious that dreams are serious messages that can determine life and death, success and failure, yet many don’t care. When you have a dream, you have a divine message that only a messenger of God can truly interpret. Don’t be careless to subject your destiny to someone who is not in tune with God. Life and death are in the power of the tongue (see Proverbs 18:21); don’t allow someone speak death to your life through interpretation of your dreams. When people give interpretations, they are actually prophesying to you. Be sensitive, take time to select those who speak over and into your life, dreams and destiny. What is spoken over you can breathe life or death to your dreams and visions.
