DIVINE ENABLEMENT BY THE HOLY SPIRIT (PART 2)

DIVINE ENABLEMENT BY THE HOLY SPIRIT (PART 2)
TEXT: Acts 10:37-38King James Version (KJV)
37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
In continuation of our study of the text, the scriptures also recorded that Jesus went about doing good. If doing good was just physical good then anybody can do it. But there is a great difference in what He did because He did this by the power of the Holy Spirit and this good was not just a feeding and clothing program, though it included it, but it was such supernatural manifestation that was strong enough to set the captives free from the oppressions of the devil.
What He did is seen to be more of those spiritual things like, healing the sick, setting the captives free but He also had a charitable work that met the physical needs of many. If you read carefully, you will notice that when the woman with the alabaster box poured the perfume on Jesus, Judas said in his heart, it could have been sold and the money given to the poor. By reason of this statement it will not be wrong to say that part of the reason Jesus always had a crowd with Him, was because He was always blessing lives physically and spiritually.
If you have the empowering of the Holy Spirit as it was the case with Jesus, then it is expected that you too should be able to bless souls spiritually and physically. He was anointed and it was by the anointing he was doing good. If it is the same Holy Spirit that was upon Jesus that dwells in our mortal body, how come we are not getting great results? You have been going from one place to the other what results and testimonies do you have?

DIVINE ENABLEMENT BY THE HOLY SPIRIT (PART 1)

DIVINE ENABLEMENT BY THE HOLY SPIRIT (PART 1)

TEXT: Acts 10:37-38King James Version (KJV)

37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Today’s scriptures speaks of how God anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost and power and by reason of that He went from place to place healing the sick and delivering people from the oppression of the devil. It is important to note that the scripture says He was anointed with the Holy Ghost and power. Therefore it was the presence of the Holy Spirit in his life that made the difference. Anywhere he went miracles began to happen in the lives of those who encountered him. The Holy Spirit was the difference. Do you know that it is the same Holy Spirit with which Jesus succeeded that you are also anointed today?
For Rom. 8:11 makes us to understand that  this same Spirit is in us and will quicken us. So, if it is the same spirit, then, what happened through Jesus should happen through our lives. Jesus was not only doing good, He was also curing all who were harassed and oppressed by the devil for God was with Him. God being with Him made the difference.  If you have the Holy Spirit in you then there must be some glorious manifestation that will make the difference in your life. Refuse to explain this away or settle for a normal life. The Lord is ready to use anyone that is ready, don’t write yourself off. Go after the life of the Spirit and you shall amazed what will follow.

THE GLORY OF THE KINGDOM (PART 6)

THE GLORY OF THE KINGDOM (PART 6)

TEXT: Mark 9:1-3. New International Version (NIV)
And he said to them, “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see that the kingdom of God has come with power.”
The Transfiguration.
After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There he was transfigured before them. His clothes became dazzling white, whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them.

Any man who will find and walk in the glory must be ready to crucify the flesh and simply follow Him. The kingdom of God is not a realm in the flesh and only those who desire to go beyond their flesh are able to access and walk in the glory of the kingdom.
Today, we go after material things and can talk so much about being blessed materially but very little about spiritual things. You should not be focused on gaining the world but on walking in God’s glory transform our world. The glory we talk about is not that which is focused on material gain. This blessing is often at first intangible but it is what will activate the tangible. You cannot see faith but you can see the result of faith. You can access it with your spirit man.
The Kingdom is not something we win for ourselves, it is something that transforms lives, it takes you from one dimension of operation into another.
There is a blessed life in the kingdom of God, but you can loose it by running after things, titles or recognition and miss the real thing (which is a life lived for God). Have this always in your mind and you will see the kingdom, power and glory. Shalom!

THE GLORY OF THE KINGDOM (PART 5)

THE GLORY OF THE KINGDOM (PART 5)
TEXT: Mark 9:1-3. New International Version (NIV)
And he said to them, “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see that the kingdom of God has come with power.”
The Transfiguration.
After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There he was transfigured before them. His clothes became dazzling white, whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them.
There is a dimension of glory that God expects you to manifest. You can only come to that place when you loose sight of yourself. But it is unfortunate that some of us are trying to save our lives. Jesus once told his disciples that if they want to save their life they will loose it. If you want to save your life you will loose it. Then, the essence of you being on earth becomes a waste. Jesus took some of His disciples apart and His glory was manifested to them. Ask the Lord to take you out of the flesh and from the place of selfishness, out of the place where you are so focused on your own gain to focus on Him.
God expects that we would live our whole life sold out to Him, as he says, the man who is willing to give up his life, will save it. This life is the one lived in the kingdom. Most people invest their lives for themselves and not for the kingdom. We all ought to walk and live in the kingdom of God, but it is unfortunate that only a fraction of us live this life. A good percentage of Christians are self-centerd, and egocentric. Are there certain parts of your life that is making it difficult for the manifestation of the fullness of God’s glory? Ask Him to help you truly loose consciousness of your self-interest and look out for the Kingdom’s interest. Ask Him to let His glory become a reality in your life and take you to the place where His presence cannot be contended with. This is the year of glory and rest but you cannot have the glory until you are ready to go after it.

THE GLORY OF THE KINGDOM (PART 4)

THE GLORY OF THE KINGDOM (PART 4)
TEXT: Mark 9:1-3. New International Version (NIV)
And he said to them, “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see that the kingdom of God has come with power.”
The Transfiguration.
After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There he was transfigured before them. His clothes became dazzling white, whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them.
When Jesus said, “let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven”, it became obvious that we have a role to play in it all. It is true He made us the light of the world but, it is up to you to let your light shine before men. The truth is that your light will shine when you are ready to let it shine.
In all of this your purpose for wanting to shine is of great essence. Tell the Lord you are ready for Him to use you so the world can give Him praise. Not so the world can know how important you are nor for you to make a name for yourself, but that the world can give Him the praise. There is a higher life, a spiritual life, that those who have given their lives to Christ have. Paul speaking about this life in Rom. 8:19 said the world is waiting for its manifestation through the sons of God. In earlier verses he had said as many that are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. The prerequisite to being a son of God is to have the leading of the Spirit. If we have the Spirit’s life we would be profitable to the kingdom of God. If we claim to be sons and there are no profitable manifestations for the kingdom of God, then we are like the servant who hid his talent in the ground. So many of us have buried our gifts on the inside and the world cannot see the glory of God through our lives. Do not let this be the end of your passion and craving for God’s glory. It is time for the world to see Jesus and encounter His glory. There is this higher life that we need to walk in. God wants us to rise up to a new life (Isaiah. 60:1). Make up your mind to rise to this new life, which is the eternal life that brings glory to our Father in heaven. You can make it if you will only believe.

THE GLORY OF THE KINGDOM (PART 3)

THE GLORY OF THE KINGDOM (PART 3)

TEXT: Mark 9:1-3. New International Version (NIV)
And he said to them, “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see that the kingdom of God has come with power.”
The Transfiguration.
After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There he was transfigured before them. His clothes became dazzling white, whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them.
If you really want to live the kingdom life then you cannot be focused on living for yourself. It is not about you and your desires but about His will. It is more than singing a song with powerful lyrics. It is a dedication from the heart. Most times when we sing songs of dedication, we really do not understand what we are singing. How much of yourself have you given? How much of Him can be accessed through your life? How much of the kingdom, the glory and power is a strong reality with you?

Many people are preoccupied with praying for what they call blessings, but let’s ask ourselves this question, what do we mean by the word blessings? Is it the money in your bank account? That is of no serious consequence to the Kingdom of God as it is not considered to be a huge gain. Your ability to live for Him so much that you can truly dominate sickness and disease and by virtue of your life souls are won into the kingdom. You have to come to the place where there is power in your life, supernatural manifestation of God’s presence.

THE GLORY OF THE KINGDOM (PART 2)

TEXT: Mark 9:1-3. New International Version (NIV)
And he said to them, “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see that the kingdom of God has come with power.”
The Transfiguration.
After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There he was transfigured before them. His clothes became dazzling white, whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them.

The man who truly live the life of the Spirit cannot be without the manifestation of the power and glory of the Spirit. If you claim to have the life in the Spirit and there are no confirmations to back up your claim, please don’t be passive about it. It is possible that you are only trying to comfort yourself that you are anointed, that is not a safe place to be. Go after God until you know without any doubt that you have found the glory.

The Lord wants us to live in the demonstration of the power of the kingdom. When we are walking in the power of the kingdom we become the salt of the earth and the light of the world. We are called to restore hope to those who are physically and spiritually sick. How can you say you believe in miracles and not have a proof? God is desperately looking for those who will live for Him. If you are satisfied with where you are spiritually you will never see the glory.  Go after God with all your heart and others will see you and give glory to your heavenly Father.
