THE GLORY OF THE KINGDOM (PART 5)

THE GLORY OF THE KINGDOM (PART 5)
TEXT: Mark 9:1-3. New International Version (NIV)
And he said to them, “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see that the kingdom of God has come with power.”
The Transfiguration.
After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There he was transfigured before them. His clothes became dazzling white, whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them.
There is a dimension of glory that God expects you to manifest. You can only come to that place when you loose sight of yourself. But it is unfortunate that some of us are trying to save our lives. Jesus once told his disciples that if they want to save their life they will loose it. If you want to save your life you will loose it. Then, the essence of you being on earth becomes a waste. Jesus took some of His disciples apart and His glory was manifested to them. Ask the Lord to take you out of the flesh and from the place of selfishness, out of the place where you are so focused on your own gain to focus on Him.
God expects that we would live our whole life sold out to Him, as he says, the man who is willing to give up his life, will save it. This life is the one lived in the kingdom. Most people invest their lives for themselves and not for the kingdom. We all ought to walk and live in the kingdom of God, but it is unfortunate that only a fraction of us live this life. A good percentage of Christians are self-centerd, and egocentric. Are there certain parts of your life that is making it difficult for the manifestation of the fullness of God’s glory? Ask Him to help you truly loose consciousness of your self-interest and look out for the Kingdom’s interest. Ask Him to let His glory become a reality in your life and take you to the place where His presence cannot be contended with. This is the year of glory and rest but you cannot have the glory until you are ready to go after it.
