MAR. 7TH.
TEXT: Romans 4:17-18King James Version (KJV)
17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many
nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and
calleth those things which be not as though they were.
18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the
father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed
be.
I
wish to start off today by telling you that there is great hope for you. The
fact that you are a part of this devotional message is an indication that
heaven has something more for you. The
Lord wants you to know that His plans for you are good and not evil. If some
things are not working out as you expect, all you need to do is to calm down.
Don’t jump into conclusions. Fix your eyes on Jesus as you open your heart to
obey the word of God. If you will do that, in no distant time, you will begin
to see things fall in place. You will begin to see proofs of obvious divine
assistance.
From
our scriptural text for today, we learnt that Abraham was able to obtain the
promise of God for his life because he refused to give up on God’s promises for
his life. Verse 18 tells us that he believed in hope against hope that he will
become the father of many nations.
Beloved, God wants you to live a life full of
supernatural results. Don’t make the mistake to act like many religious people
in the church without any evidence of God in their lives. Many claim to be spiritual but they lack
divine proofs. They can only argue about their belief but they have nothing to
show. Please make up your mind to trust God like Abraham did. Believe until you
see the glory of God made manifest, and you will be amazed the supernatural
manifestations that will follow. Whatever God spoke to your heart is very
possible. Even when it seems to be useless before others, just believe.
Remember, God calls those things that be not as though they were.
