TEXT: Judges 6:11-16 King James Version (KJV)
11. And there came an angel of the Lord, and sat under an oak which
was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon
threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.
12. And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him, and said unto him,
The Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.
13. And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the Lord be with us, why
then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers
told us of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? but now the Lord
hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.
14. And the Lord looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and
thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?
15. And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel?
behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.
16. And the Lord said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou
shalt smite the Midianites as one man.
Many of the time, when things don’t
go as planned for us we begin to wonder asking, why is it that things seem to
be different when it comes to our turn? Well, it is very possible that in some
of those times God is only trying to make us realize that He has something
better for us. If all the doors we knock on open for us, we will be very far
from fulfilling our destiny. God has to shut some doors so we can see the door
He has opened for us.
When you go into fields that people
are already plowing, you have the challenge of competing with too many persons.
It is always in your advantage to be the first person to see the solution in
that problem everyone is running away from.
For you to come up with innovative ideas you must be able to see what
others cannot see.
The Bible in Job 32:8 tells us that
“There is a spirit in man, the inspiration of the Almighty gives him
understanding.” If you want to have divine ideas and do what others cannot do,
you need to take away your eyes from your disadvantages and trust God to show
you the answer.
This is how you will be able to stand out, or
else you will have the same ordinary results as others. Do not look in the same
direction as others, look up to Jesus and you will be amazed the blessings that
will follow.
May
God open your eyes to see the advantages in your disadvantages. Shalom!
