ASK GOD FOR HELP (PART 3)
TEXT: Colossians 1:12-17 (KJV)
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Life is
full of surprises, no matter how hard you try and prepare there will still be
something you did not plan for. It is a lie to think you have everything under
control by your finite wisdom and ability. No matter how smart you are don’t be
so foolish to use that for the devil. You need God to outsmart him. There are
things that won’t just work out no matter how hard you try. Be wise to cry out
to God for help before it get worse. If this life is made up of just human
being then it would be alright to depend on your abilities, but the truth is so
obvious. There are spirit beings, powers and forces that we just can’t explain
away. The enemy is a spirit being that has been in this game far longer than
you can imagine and that is why your experience is not good enough; he is more
experienced in this game. But there is one who is far more experienced and
powerful than the enemy, he is the one who knows the end from the beginning, he
is the omniscient one. He is the all wise God. He is the one and only living
God who revealed himself in the Bible as our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
Call on him and trust him to help you and he will never ever fail you. See what
Colossians 1:16 says about him, “For by him were all things created, that are
in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be
thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by
him, and for him:”
Take some
time to hand over that situation to God and you will one day testify of the
goodness and faithfulness of God.
