GOD’S GRACE IS ENOUGH (PART 1). JULY 27TH.
TEXT: Ephesians 2:6-10King James Version (KJV)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in
heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his
grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good
works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
When Paul was about to leave Ephesus,
Agabus gave a prophecy that he would be held captive if he went to Jerusalem.
Paul, nonetheless decided to go to Jerusalem, he was not afraid to die, as he
was ready to lay down his life for the gospel. Paul also advised the Ephesians
to be careful of wolves who are waiting to devour them. He was referring to
those who claim to know grace but still burden others with the law. If you do not
have your own faith, and a hunger to encounter God for yourself, you will
become very easily manipulated and used by those who claim to be of God. You
must learn to walk with God and go beyond surface Christianity. We need to get
out of religiosity, into a deep and personal relationship with God. If you
cannot rise up to that point, your faith will be easily shaken. But when you
have a relationship with Him that is real, even if the world goes upside down,
you will not be shaken.
If you are not sure of your
relationship with God, please do all you can to be so sure, because whatever
service you give Him will not get the full reward unless you have an eternal
relationship with Him. This is not a question of training or experience but of
a relationship that is alive and burning. You need the grace and power of the
Holy Spirit, then you will have supernatural results.
