THE SPIRIT OF THE FEAR OF THE
LORD (PART 3)
TEXT: Psalm 19:9
9The fear
of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgements of the LORD are true
and righteous altogether.
10 More to
be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than
honey and the honeycomb.”
Verse 9 of our text says “The
fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever:” when a man truly has the fear of
the Lord there is this purity in his words and intentions. You do not need to
break your head trying to decode their actions or words. It is just as it is.
There is no hidden agenda with this soul because his Yes is Yes and his No is
No.
People like Saul failed because
his words and actions were at variance with the commands of God and instead of
accepting his fault he was always armed with excuses. His words and actions
showed he was lacking the fear of the Lord. When he continued like this God
called his incomplete obedience rebellion.
The lack of a consistent
extraordinary manifestation in our lives is often connected to our inconsistent
obedience to God because of the lack of the holy fear of God. It was the fear
of God that kept Joseph from the sin of immorality with Potiphar’s’ wife.
Therefore, when a man is unable to keep himself from the sin of immorality it
is an indication he lacks the fear of the Lord.
It was the presence of the fear of the Lord in Joseph that moved God to
set him on the path of glory and rewarded him in such a way that only very few
persons ever experience. If you will walk in the fear of the Lord you will be
surprise the glory that will manifest in your life. Live for God today.
