JANUARY 4TH.
TEXT: Romans 9:25-28King James Version (KJV)
25 As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my
people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.
26 And it shall come to pass, that in the place
where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the
children of the living God.
27 Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the
number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be
saved:
28 For he will finish the work, and cut it short in
righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.
With the close of the last year went the records and account
of last year and that is the reason each of us must learn to look ahead in
hope. Everything in the past is gone with the past. Forget about the challenge
of yesterday and square up for the blessings of this new day. Let the pain of
last year be gone with the account of last year. Don’t even let the victories
and successes of last year prevent you from adequately preparing for this year.
Our God is ready to do a quick work and only those who are sensitive enough to
position themselves early will maximise the opportunity.
Refuse to waste precious opportunities that comes with the
blessing of the new year. Do all you can to stay on the alert and make sure you
are at your very best in every circumstances. Go after every assignment with
focus and passion and start making your impact early. Don’ be lazy to start
late because you may not be able to recover to be able to catch up with those
who are able to take off early.
