MAY 25TH
Text: Acts 3:1-8 King James Version (KJV)
1. Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at
the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
2. And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was
carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called
Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
3. Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple
asked an alms.
4. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said,
Look on us.
5. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive
something of them.
6. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as
I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
7. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and
immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with
them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
In Acts 3:1-8, when Peter and John went to pray in the
temple, they saw the crippled man who was laid each day at the temple gate to
beg for alms. He was carried and left at the entrance of the temple, while
others went in.
Many of us are like this crippled man, we get to the place
of prayer, but never enter into the realm of power and glory because we are
spiritually crippled. It is unfortunate that in the place where we have
opportunity to commune with the greatest power in the whole universe some of us
are busy seeking for alms. People spend precious time begging God to bless them
with cars, houses and jobs when they could have sought the glory and blessing
that activates the release of these things.
There is so much made available for the man who is blessed with the
presence of God.
A look at Psalm one will reveal to you the immeasurable
blessing the child of God is endued with. As you go through, it will occur to
you that we are much more than we are manifesting. The part that gets my
attention most is the declaration that whatsoever he does prospers. This can
become your testimony. Let the glory and the beauty of heaven saturate your
life and you will never be the same again.
God bless.
