2 Peter
1:10-11 (AMP)
10 Because of this, brethren, be all the more solicitous and eager to make sure (to ratify, to strengthen, to make steadfast) your calling and election; for if you do this, you will never stumble or fall.
11 Thus there will be richly and abundantly provided for you entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

There are
many who think they are part of the kingdom of God because they were born into
a Christian family and have been in church right from their birth. They know
all the religious prayer, recitations and response but they have no intimate
and passionate relationship with Christ.
A Christian without Christ is a
dangerous crisis in the church. Such kind of persons function by the tradition
and religion of the denomination and finds it very difficult to agree with a
man who is speaking or acting by the leading of the Holy Spirit because he is
strange to the life in the Spirit. Amos 3:3 says two cannot walk together
except they agree. Therefore there will always be clashes and opposition simply
because this is a mixed multitude. It is very imperative that we ensure that
each of us and every one of us are saved and eager to live for Christ. The end
of verse 10 of our text tells us that if we fail to do this we will stumble or
fall.
This accounts for the inconsistency in some lives. This is also a strong
reason why many churches and ministries struggle to fulfil their purpose in
life. Many of them were in a hurry to become the fastest growing or the biggest
church and in the process they ignore this all important counsel of God. If we
must fulfil destiny we must see to it that we are living the life mapped out
for us by the Lord.
Do something about it today.
