POWER AND GLORY (PART 10)

JAN 15TH.

TEXT: 2 Chronicles 19:1-3, 20:1, 20 King James Version (KJV)

19 And Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned to his house in peace to Jerusalem.
And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the Lord? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the Lord.
Nevertheless there are good things found in thee, in that thou hast taken away the groves out of the land, and hast prepared thine heart to seek God.

20 It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.

20 And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

If you truly desire to walk in God’s power and glory, you will need to decide to go after God and separate yourself from anyone or anything that will not bring Him glory. True life, peace and progress comes from God. He has said that He is the one who gives us power to get wealth, according to Deuteronomy 8:18. When He blesses us with wealth it is meant to be enduring, but if we walk away from His divine agenda for our lives, we will begin to have problems. It is amazing how many persons became great by strictly following the word of the Lord, only for them to get to the point where they begin to erroneously think that it is time for them to become a part of “the big boys”. Before you know it, they are seen with people with ungodly dispositions, people of questionable character, winning and dinning in places they have no business going. God’s power and glory does not rest on those who make the pursuit of pleasure a greater priority than the pursuit of God. Anyone who considers human beings before making a decision for God is not to be entrusted with the power and glory we speak of. You must be bold and be able to refuse certain requests no matter what you may stand to lose.

When Jehoshaphat cried out to God, God helped him and turned away those who were against him. No matter who may be against you, God can deliver you from them all, even from battles you do not have any clue of. Ask God for mercy when you miss it and ask Him to deliver you from your enemies that are stronger than you. Cry out to the Lord to turn away every battle from you and cause a supernatural release of His power and glory upon your life. Ask Him to clothe you in His glory and take far from you whatever will bring you shame and embarrassment.
