POWER AND GLORY (PART 7)

JANUARY  12TH.

TEXT: Psalm 110:1-3King James Version (KJV)

110 The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

The Lord shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.

If you look at your life based on what is happening in this world, you will most likely not be able to fulfill your destiny. You cannot bring yourself down to the level of the people of this world, you are much more than that. When you got saved, it was you who received Jesus into your life and when you did, He endued you with a glorious power in your spirit man (John 1:12), that is how you became a son of God. Some people’s joy is based on their salaries or what they have in their bank accounts, but ours is from our divine account because we have access to power and glory.

It is an error for you to put your hope in man, there is nothing there that is guaranteed to last long. Just when you think all is well, that is when the arm of flesh will fail you. But put your trust in the Lord, man will fail you no matter the promises they make, but God cannot fail you because He cannot lie (Numbers 23:19). When you make God your hope, men will have no choice, but to play the role the Lord commands them to play in your life.

If you fix your eyes on man, it is the end of your hope, but if you fix them on God, it is the beginning of power and glory. So, take your eyes away from whatever is not working in your life and fix them on Jesus, for He is the author and finisher of that which you hope for.
