DON’T IGNORE YOUR SPIRITUAL COVERING (PART 3)

OCTOBER 22ND

TEXT: 2 Kings 13:14-17King James Version (KJV)

14 Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died. And Joash the king of Israel came down unto him, and wept over his face, and said, O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof.

Once King Jehoash acknowledged the authority and backing that went with the ministry of Elisha, he was able to decode whatever prevented him from having access into the glory realm. Today, there are people who do not think it necessary to be under certain covering, but everyone has to be under a kind of covering to be able to overcome certain challenges of life. It may be your church pastor or someone else, whoever it is, you must seek where the glory of God is, and make sure what you have is truly a covering.

Just as there are physical bastards, there are also spiritual bastards. There are a lot of spiritual bastards today, people who do not want anyone to counsel them. They do not want to submit themselves to anyone because they have experienced a little of God’s grace and glory. Such individuals cannot go far in life before they dry up.

You need a connection to the Source, a connection that continually fills you. You need to look for where your soul can be nourished again and again. There are times that it would not necessarily be someone in a higher spiritual authority who would refresh you. So, do not ignore those who seem insignificant, because they can lift your spirit. But if you set out in pride, thinking that you can do it on your own, you are going to crash. Keep your eyes fixed on the Lord, and if you are really humble, He will direct you to those that will help refresh you. Don’t die before your time.
