THE MEETING PLACE

OCTOBER 28TH

TEXT: Exodus 33:6-11King James Version (KJV)
6 And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the mount Horeb.

7 And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought the Lord went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.

8 And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle.

9 And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the Lord talked with Moses.

10 And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door.

11 And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

From our text for today, we saw what it was like each time Moses went into the tent of meeting, the cloud would descend and he would be wrapped in the glory as he communed with the Lord. It is obvious that the descending of the cloud is a pointer that this meeting was exclusively reserved for just Moses and the Lord, no one else was allowed in. God would shut every other person out because He counted His time with Moses to be very important. When this happens, the children of Israel would then worship from their tent doors. Where are you standing in your walk with God? There cannot be anointing except you have a place to meet Him regularly. Do you have a place where the glory descends? You will not find the glory except you are determined, you will need to get out of your flesh and out of every distraction.

Access to the glory is open to everyone but you must be ready to pay the price to access it. Many were worshipping from afar but Moses went in. God is not a God of thunder and lightning ready to strike you down. His throne is called the throne of grace, even if you have sinned and are truly repentant you can still come to Him (Heb. 4:16). When you are in need come to God.

Too many of us are worshipping from afar because we have sin baggages. Just let go and let God.
