LIBERATE YOURSELF FROM A SLAVISH MENTALITY (PART 3)

NOVEMBER 5TH

Text: Romans 8:14-19 Amplified Bible (AMP)

14 For all who are allowing themselves to be led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading again to fear [of God’s judgment], but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons [the Spirit producing sonship] by which we [joyfully] cry, “[a]Abba! Father!”

16 The Spirit Himself testifies and confirms together with our spirit [assuring us] that we [believers] are children of God.

17 And if [we are His] children, [then we are His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His spiritual blessing and inheritance], if indeed we share in His suffering so that we may also share in His glory.

18 For I consider [from the standpoint of faith] that the sufferings of the present life are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us!

19 For [even the whole] creation [all nature] waits eagerly for the children of God to be revealed
.
The life of some Christians are an irony of what the word of God promise us. Almost everything in their lives seem to be completely at variance with what they confess. It is not every challenge in the lives of many Christians that brings glory to God because they are the cause of their woes and set back. It is a shame that many Christians exhibit the attitude and character of mediocrity and then pray for extraordinary results. Such prayers are often ignored by God because it will amount to validating mediocrity should God grant them their heart desire.

They are the kind of people that are unable to have permanent or sustained success in life. Some of us experience glory for a while, then shame, then some glory but then shame again, but this happens because we are not consistent in our walk with God that should give us understanding as we continually behold Him. The Bible says as we behold Him, we will be transformed from glory to glory. As long as your eyes are on Him, the glory remains on you and becomes more glorious. But if you take your eyes off Him, the glory gives way for shame. If you decide to stay fixed and unwavering on Him at all times with exemplary diligence in every aspect of life, the world will see

His glory in you like never before. Liberate yourself from every slavish mentality by adopting an aggressive approach to equip yourself with the instructions from the word of God. Snap out of the life of a mediocre.
