UNDERSTANDING THE WORD (PART 2)

NOVEMBER 27TH .

TEXT: Genesis 13:9-13 King James Version (KJV)

9 Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.

10 And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.

11 Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.

12 Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.

13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly.

We are living in a time when everyone want to prove that they are better and more prosperous than others, hence, the unnecessary subtle competition. Those in the house of God are not exempted, and this is because so many do not understand that when God gives a prophetic word, there are conditions attached.

The people God is set to bless are those who have evidence of the glory in their lives, those who have made up their minds to stand firmly for God. There is a greater dimension of glory coming. Whether the world has an economic crunch or not, one thing that is obvious for the righteous is glory, for the road the righteous travels is like sun rise, getting brighter and brighter unto a perfect day.

Be careful not to end up like Lot who followed after that which looks lucrative. The major problem with Lot was that he was selfish and these are my reasons; It is true that it was Abraham who told him to leave, but if he was wise, he would have considered the fact that he could not have come that for in life without Abraham. In stead, he took time to select the greener pastures for himself, and wasted no time in settling down in Sodom.

Where are you today in God's agenda? If you let God lead, you are going to be launched into the place that has been destined for you, for it is your moment of glory. Wait on the Lord. Where the Lord is taking you has nothing to do with you making yourself qualified by virtue of your abilities, but by virtue of your being in His will. Once you are rightly positioned, the blessings will break forth upon your life.
